The concept was simple – to create a beautiful home in harmony with nature and a home from home experience for our guests. I [Caroline] brought my eye for design to the table, and Rushan brought his construction skills and love of creating interesting art and accessories.
Our choice of the word PURE was really easy because when we started to reform the finca, the surrounding nature seemed to guide our every move in terms of build and design. It was obvious we needed to decorate in a very simple way because the natural environment is so significant here, and the quiet is truly omnipresent.
We didn’t want to paint the place too many different colours, because the colours of nature can never be improved! Look at the bright blue sky and seas of different greens in the garden, met with the shocking pink of bougainvillea – a beautiful flower that has become almost synonymous with Ibiza. Cool neutral shades are much more peaceful, and we don’t want to fight with nature, simply harmonise with it in order to relax you.
We named the place HOUSE rather than ‘hotel’ because, being a little bit different to a classic hotel, the space we share with you is one of Ibiza’s ancient fincas. These old houses have been standing on Ibiza’s sun swept shores for hundreds of years. They have been here so long they feel like a piece of the island’s furniture, and are certainly the foundations of many happy homes.
In 2012 we created the olive groves, made a plantation of orange trees and applied for the agrotourismo licence. We waited 2 1/2 years for it to arrive and officially launched Pure House Ibiza the agrotourismo in 2015, with four charming double rooms, each with private bathroom, terrace and entrance for a super discreet, relaxing stay.
We are already expanding to create a few more rooms for you, but our peaceful sanctuary will only ever be an intimate space for you to gently unwind, or it wouldn’t be Pure House Ibiza.
