Rushan relishes the time he gets to spend experimenting with flavours finding his inspiration from the incredible fresh, organic produce available on the island. New places pop up every year and we always look forward to seeing what’s new on the Ibiza horizon, whilst also hungrily checking in to those places that have served us so well over the years. It’s a difficult choice, but here are our favourite eateries, serving their unique blend of global cuisine in a range of stunning locations.
Blue Marlin’s sister restaurant serves super tasty Japanese Peruvian cuisine and switched on staff advise on your choices, making it the perfect place for Nikkei virgins. Enjoy sharing plates at sunset on the terrace, with spellbinding views over the salt flats.
For us this is the best sushi restaurant in Ibiza, situated in Jesus and serving up Japanese food with a fabulous French touch. The deco is zen, the owners and staff make sure you feel at home and our favourite dish is Sushi au Foie Gras – both delicate and deliciously rich.
Restaurante Sa Caleta
This wonderful family restaurant on the cliffs of Sa Caleta is well known for their range of Spanish specialities like fideu, paella and lobster hotpot. It’s even more famous for the Café Caleta, created here and drank island-wide, a really tasty coffee laced with spirits and spices. Just don’t drink too many if you plan to drive home!
If you’re looking for home-cooked Italian food served in a picturesque Ibiza style garden with softly painted chairs and tables, La Paloma is the place in San Lorenzo. The terrace is packed all summer with Gucci-hippie types enjoying the food and special ambience.
There are now Passion Cafés all over the island, each with slightly different feel and menu. Whichever you choose you are guaranteed extremely tasty and healthy food, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. We love their terrific smoothies and the Thai Chicken Salad.
When we want the best French food in Ibiza, we always choose this gastronomic restaurant in Talamanca. We love the views over to Dalt Vila, the peaceful vibes and impeccable food. For all you chocolate addicts, the dessert ‘kif’ is incredible!
This is our favourite spot for a romantic dinner with incredible sea views. The cocktails are excellent, the food is first rate, and we love the restaurant’s many terraces giving you a choice of dining and reclining options as you make your way down to the beach.
